Solar Hydronic Heating

Unfortunately there are still a few installers of solar heating systems that are of low quality. Both the products and the workmanship can be unacceptable.

To avoid problems later on, here are a few questions to ask when you consider Solar Hydronic Heating.

-        Has the company installing you Solar hydronic heating system ever been reprimanded for its advertising practices? Call the Australian Competition and consumer Commission (ACCC)

-        Have any installs ever failed government inspection?

-        Is a clean energy council accredited installer present for the install? Not just signing off on somebody else’s work.

-        How do you calculate what size system is most appropriate? This is not a simple process.

-        What is the warranty period? It should be about 10 years. Does it require you to pay them for regular services? Check small print.

-        Are the panels for the solar hydronic heating system a high end product? Do some online internet research on the product type and model.

-        Research all other components in the solar heating system, especially the inverter.
